Covid Information

Whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place, please observe the following when attending in person worship in any of our churches.

Services have now resumed at all four of our team churches.  These are subject to any variation because of national legislation, Church guidance, availability of personnel, or pastoral circumstances.  Please check our weekly newsletter for details of each Sunday's services.

As a reminder, the Covid rules applicable at the Minster are below; rules at the other churches will be similar, but with local variations

  • Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household has Covid symptoms, is awaiting test results, or has been told to self-isolate or to shield, or are clinically extremely vulnerable.

  • Please sign in or scan in using the NHS app.

  • Masks must be worn at all times unless you are exempt.  Please use hand sanitiser, which is available at various points around the building.

  • Social distancing must be maintained at all times from everyone except for your own household or support bubble.

  • Please only sit in the marked rows and only one household is allowed in each row.

  • Please do not mingle – this includes not going over to talk to other congregation members inside the building before, during, or after the service

  • Communion will be in one kind; if you wish to receive, please follow the directions of the stewards.

  • Contactless donation methods are preferred, whether via regular giving, through using our QR code, by text, or using the contactless plate.  Cash or cheque donations are still possible.

  • We are continuing to livestream services.  By entering the Minster for public worship, you are giving consent for you to be included in such live-streamed services, or in recordings made from them.

There are no limits on attendance for public worship, other than the size of the building, but there are limits for other permitted activities:

  • Weddings (which may only take place in exceptional circumstances) – no more than. 6 people

  • Funerals – no more than 30 people (this number applies at the church, cemetery, or crematorium)

  • Burial of Ashes – no more than 6 people

  • Support Groups (excepting Parent/Child groups which are not allowed) – no more than 15 people (excluding children under 5)
